Welcome to the Ruhunu Diving Centre in Tangalle, Sri Lanka.

Ruhunu Diving Centre is a brand new dive center on the south coast of Sri Lanka, near Tangalle. A small, personal, professional PADI dive center that offers scuba diving, snorkeling and PADI dive courses. A wide variety of dive spots, a multitude of tropical fish and fascinating ship wrecks that can be explored together with Ruhunu Diving Center.

Our dive boat leaves from one of Sri Lanka's best kept secrets - Silent Beach. We take maximum four divers on the boat to keep it safe and comfortable. Come and discover the beautiful underwater world of Tangalle, in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
Ruhunu Diving Center is open every day 1 September to 30 May from 7 am to 9 pm. Daily dives 7 am to 1 pm by prior arrangement.

PADI dive courses

A small and personal dive centre in the deep south of Sri Lanka – actually the only PADI dive center south of Matara! We offer diving and snorkelling tours, and now also diving courses:

Discover Scuba Diving A first step to the underwater world and the magical feeling of breathing underwater. With our very professional instructor you are in safe hands and can focus on the experience. Try scuba diving for 100$ (Add one extra dive for 40$).

PADI Scuba Diver In 2,5 days this course will teach you the basics to be able to dive independently. Certificate for max 12 meters. Start the journey for $270.

PADI Open Water Scuba Diver Or go straight onto 4 days of theory, skill work in the pool and 4 dives in the ocean. Certificate to max 18m. Enjoy the immersion for 440$

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver This course is mainly practical with 2 days of diving. Certificate to max 30m. Upgrade your experience level for 400$

EFR First aid This 1-day course is needed for the PADI Rescue Diver course. 100$

PADI Rescue diver This is a full on course lasting 3 days, and most people say it’s one of the most rewarding courses as it teaches you both practically and theoretically what to do if something goes wrong. Become a better and safer diver for 440$

PADI Dive master. Become a PADI professional and start working within diving. Or just do it because it’s fun and challenging! Please ask the instructor about content, time and cost.
All course prices include equipment and PADI E-learning (you will need a smart phone, tablet or laptop with internet access).
Please note we only take cash! All prices are in US dollars. Payments are to be made in dollars ($) or rupees (exchange rate to US dollars on payment day) before the course/dive starts.
